Objective: To investigate the blood routine characteristics of Mycoplasma pneumonia complicated Epstein-Barr virus infection. Methods: From June 2009 to August 2012, 28 cases of mycoplasma pneumonia complicated with Epstein-Barr virus infection in our hospital were retrospectively analyzed. Compared with 45 cases with pure MP infection and 42 cases with simple Epstein-Barr virus infection Cases were compared to observe the 3 groups of blood, peripheral blood lymphocytes differences. Results: Peripheral blood leukocytes in children with MP pneumonia complicated with Epstein-Barr virus infection were significantly increased (P <0.05), and those in islets increased significantly (P <0.01). The hemoglobin content and platelet count were lower than those in the control group (P <0.01, P < 0.05). Conclusion: Mycoplasma pneumonia complicated with Epstein-Barr virus infection shows abnormal white blood cells and reduced platelets and hemoglobin.
