兰屿是台湾一个四面环海的孤立火山岛,旧称红头屿,因岛上盛产兰花而改称兰屿。全岛面积46平方公里,居民约4000人,大多是达悟族(又称雅美族)原住民,以农渔为生,由红头、渔人、椰油、朗岛、东清、野银六个部落组成。这里是台湾惟一没有红绿灯的地方,也是尚未被7-11(连锁超市)、星巴克攻占的圣地。全岛只有一条环岛
