本刊三月号發表北京市第八中学顔成志同志寫的“牛傅銀終於教育过來了”一文以後,引起了國营某廠許多工人同志的不滿,因爲牛傳銀在該廠某車間工作,表現很落後,並不像顔成志同志所報道的那樣。該廠某事間第一党支部書記兼車間副主任李建新同志,曾親自到本刊編輯部來,嚴厲地批評那篇文章報道得不够真实,並把他和車間青年团總支書記刘世贤、車間工会委員会主席王勇兩位同志共同寫成的一份材料,交給了我們,听到达個反映,我們曾兩次到北京第八中学教導处了解情况,並和顔成志同志面談了一次。結果判明:顔成志同志在对牛傳銀的教育上雖然作了不少工作,但文中对於牛博銀的進步情况和自己的工作成績,却作了过高的估計和誇張的叙述。这裏我們發表了李建新同志等的來信,同時也發表了顔成志同志的檢討。李建新等三位同志所揭發的这件事,我們不应看成僅僅是对寫稿者個人的批評,而应当把它看成是人民羣眾,首先是工人羣家对我們教育工作進行監督的表現。我們的学校教育工作,是要爲國家培养全面發展的社会主義的積極建設者和保衛者,如果我們培养出来的人材質量不好。就会影响國家建設。牛傳銀就是一個具体例子。对此,人民羣眾提出批評是应該的,我們一切忠誠於人民教育事業的人,都应該重視、欢迎这种批評,並应努力克服我們工作中的缺點和錯誤,才不辜負人民对我們的期望。从这件事情上,我們还应該吸取教訓,克服自滿情續。我們不僅要看到自己工作的成績方面,而且要看到它的缺點方面。教育是一項長期的,複雜的工作,思想教育工作尤其如此.我們不能滿足於某些暫時的、表面的成績而沾沾自喜,应該是虛心、全面地估計自己的工作,只有这樣,才能使我們的工作不斷地提高。还应該指出,在刊物上介紹某些同志的工作陘驗,並不是爲了宜揭個人的工作成績,而是爲了互相学習,達到提高工作的目的。因此,爲刊物寫稿必須是很嚴肅的,一方面要把自己最好的經驗介紹出来,同時一定要真实、客观,不应有絲毫的款張和虛假。这是每個作者的責任。顔成志同志的瞼討还不够深刻。还需要在工作中進一步進行自我檢查。另外,發表“牛傅銀終於教育过來了”这篇不够真实的報疽,我們编輯部也是有責任的。我們也应該从这件事情中吸取激訓。
