To complement existing conventional cement cementing logs (CBL / VDL), a technology called cement evaluation CET was put into commercial use in 1982. It houses a set of eight ultrasonic transducers that allow radial inspection of the casing and its annulus. Check the cement cementing quality according to its response. In particular, it distinguishes between qualified cement, unset cement slurry or liquid, gas-bearing cement and free gas. The radial and longitudinal distributions of the substances detected by the analytical instruments provide the basis for analyzing the possible causes of poor cementing. Use these instructions to check and improve the first cementing process. In addition, more stringent remedies can be taken on individual occasions.
