20世纪90年代以来,“治理”(governance)一词成为一个大行其道的概念。政治学、经济学、法学等社会科学,纷纷将治理纳入自己的概念和理论体系。“全球治理”、“国家治理”、“公司治理”、“社区治理”、“大学治理”、“自我治理”、“相互治理”等,一系列与“治理”有关的表达,充斥于各种学术著作和官方文件之中。那么,到底何谓“治理”呢?在历史和当下、中国与西方的语境演化和制度结构中,“治理”又各有什么样的意蕴和特征呢?

So, what exactly is ”governance“? In history and the present, what are the implications and characteristics of ”governance" in the context and institutional structure of China and the West?
