历史学在历史上一直被视为是一门人文学科,只是到了近现代才被看作是一门社会科学。人类的知识系统是一个极其庞大的系统,在这个知识系统中历史学是兼有社会科学和人文学科两种性质的一门学科,作为社会科学它极具人文色彩,而作为人文学科它又严谨得像是一门科学;在复原历史原貌、追求历史真实的时候它是科学,而在讲述历史故事的时候它是人文学科。
Historiography has historically been regarded as a humanistic discipline, only to be seen as a social science in the modern history. Human knowledge system is a very large system, in this knowledge system history is both a social science and humanities disciplines, as a social science it is very humane, but as the humanities it is rigorous It is like a science; it is science when it restores the original form of history and pursues historical truth, while it is a humanity when it tells the story of history.
