光孤子通信是最先进的光纤通信方式。理论和实验都已证实采用孤子通信方式,码速传输距离积可以提高到10~50Tbpskm。孤子传输与光放大器的结合将使长距离光纤通信系统实现全光化,从而倍受青睐。本讲将介绍光纤中孤子的形成机理、光孤子的传输特性、光孤子通信系统的组成及相关的一些关键技术,最后对光孤子通信的现状作一个简单的评述。
Optical soliton communication is the most advanced optical fiber communication method. Both theory and experiment have proved that using soliton communication mode, the distance product of code speed transmission can be increased to 10 ~ 50Tbpskm. The combination of soliton transmission and optical amplifiers will make long-distance fiber optic systems all-optical, making them popular. This talk will introduce the formation mechanism of solitons in optical fibers, the transmission characteristics of optical solitons, the composition of optical soliton communication systems and some related key technologies. Finally, a brief review of the current status of optical soliton communication will be given.
