多年来,左手拿叉、右手拿刀一直是吃西餐的基本餐桌礼仪之一。而某知名搜索引擎所做的一项最新调查显示,如今,不少30岁以下的英国年轻人就餐时更喜欢美式“切后换手法”吃西餐,即右手拿刀切完食物后,把左手的叉换到右手再进食。尽管这种就餐礼仪遭到老派人士的鄙夷,但不得不承认的事实是,“单手拿叉式”或将成为未来的新餐桌礼仪之一。
