鉴别一件书画作品,除了从笔墨技法、笔法特点、时代风格及作者款题、印章等来认识鉴辨之外,对凡有他人或后人题跋(包括观款、题签等)的鉴考,也可作为鉴别的辅助依据。尤其是鉴别一些无款印的作品,他人或后人的题跋往往成了重要的依据,这在古今书画作品中例子颇多。如:元代高克恭《云横秀岑图》、《春山晴雨图》即均无款印。因前者图上有元代书画家邓文原、李衎二题;后者图上有李衎书题,又邓、李都是高的朋友,并且都是鉴赏
