George Bernard Shaw’s guests include Arabian Lawrence, H.G. Wells, author of Time Machine, and star Vivien Leigh. In 1906, Bernard Shaw and his wife, Charlotte, moved to their new home. Before moving into this country house in Hertfordshire, a red brick country house, Saint Lawrence, they searched for a long time because they wanted to leave the theater circle in London but could not walk too far. It is said that in the cemetery of St. Lawrence, Saint John, George Bernard Shaw saw the tombstone of a seven-year-old girl with a short engraving on her time. He thought he would have settled in such a place for seven years if he was short here.
