城市及其多族裔同生共处

城市是社会分工多样化及人口聚合的结果,并在社会发展中承担着重要的职能。聚集和流动的特性造就了城市空间的丰富多彩,也带来了城市族裔成分的多样化。不同的族裔在城市中形成了不同的社会网络与居住格局,从而影响着城市的族裔关系和社会整合。新加坡以公共住房政策推动族裔混居,实现了各族裔和谐共处。虽然国情迥异,但这种由国家推动的“族裔互嵌”方式值得关注。

Cities are the result of the diversification of social division of labor and population aggregation and assume important functions in social development. The nature of aggregation and mobility has created a rich and colorful urban space, but also brought about the diversification of urban ethnic composition. Different ethnic groups in the city formed a different social network and living pattern, thus affecting the urban ethnic relations and social integration. Singapore promotes ethnic coexistence with public housing policies and has achieved a harmonious coexistence of all ethnic groups. Although national conditions are quite different, this “nationally embedded” approach promoted by the state deserves our attention.
