Compared with pure separation by air or wind screen, it has the advantages of good effect and small power consumption. However, some leftover iron balls are still missing during the separation process, and the problem of waste is not solved well. In order to meet the needs of the workshop production and development, in 1970 we set about to build a large 4.5 × 5.5-meter shot peening sand blasting machine. How to further improve the separation effect between iron pellets and sand is a new problem that needs to be solved urgently. Permanent magnet magnetic separator in the metallurgical industry, has been successfully used to improve iron ore recovery. The adoption of this new technology has greatly inspired us. Following Chairman Mao’s great teaching on “We must break the routine and try our best to adopt advanced technology”, we carefully analyzed the possibilities and advantages of using this technology and thus strengthened me
