温岭市第一人民医院创建于1941年,发展于改革开放后,特别是近10年来,院领导班子,精诚团结,务实创新,带领全院广大干部职工负重拼搏,开拓进取,与时俱进,医院迅速发展成为设备先进、人才荟萃、技术力量雄厚,集医疗、教学、科研、预防、保健、康复为一体,综合实力位于全省同级医院前茅,令人瞩目且富有影响力的三级乙等医院和省级文明医院。医院现有在编人员1020人,卫技人员占91.1%,其中高级职称100人,中级职称370人,享受国务院特殊津贴专家2人。设职能科室9个,病区21个,实际开放床位1000张;年门急诊75万人次,住院病人2.8万人次;医院固定资产总值5亿元,拥有磁共振、螺旋CT、DSA、碎石机、全自动生化分析仪、彩超、电视腔镜系列等百万元以上设备12台(套),医疗设备总价值达8000万元。医院拥有一批具有市内领先或先进水平的专科,儿科、肾内科、呼吸内科、麻醉科、感染科、五官科、心内科、骨科为重点专科,其中儿科为台州市重点学科,1999年2月建立了120急救中心,担负全市120急救的指挥工作。作为温州医学院附属医院、浙江省高等医学院校教学医院和宁波大学医学院教学医院,医院加大科教兴院的力度,成立了台州市曙光儿科医学研究所,军事医学科学研究院全军生物芯片重点实验室温岭市临床研究中心。医院能开展三级标准技术项目,已成功开展肝(肾、角膜)移植术、心脏瓣膜置换术、DSA介入治疗、断肢断指再植、垂体瘤摘除术、腔镜系列等高难度新技术、新项目,已获省厅级科技进步奖10余项,目前研究的省、市级科研立项达20余项。每年在省级以上学术期刊发表论文100余篇。
