1973年冬至1974年春,我区受南下寒潮的影响,气温急剧下降,加上天气长期干旱,寒潮过后,自北向南连续出现了十多天的霜冻天气。桂北地区的极端最低气温下降到摄氏零下三度以下,桂中下降到零下二度,桂南也有少数县下降到零度左右,如南宁、崇左、上思等县。因此,部分甘蔗受到不同程度的霜害。根据26个机糖厂的调查统计,甘蔗霜害面积约13万7千亩,其中以桂中、桂北受害较重。霜害
