The Swiss Federal Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (Lausanne) has developed the deformable amphibious robot Daler, which not only can fly in the air but also crawls on the ground like a bat or a pterodactyl. Most robots can only do one type of exercise. They either fly in the air, or swim in the sea, or crawl, run and roll on the ground. Robot Daler is able to fly elegantly in the air, but it is equally interesting when such a remotely controlled robot lands. It spreads its wings and crawls on the ground like a clumsy pterodactyl or bat. It has a 60 cm wingspan and is battery-powered, capable of flying for 30 minutes or on the ground
