In order to understand the role of amino hydroxy urea (HSC) in the separation of uranium and plutonium from Purex process, the reduction and extraction of Pu (Ⅳ) in 30% TBP / kerosene by aqueous nitric acid solution of amino hydroxy urea were studied.
