In keeping with its previous commitment, NASA has formally invited a commercial contest to find new commercial manned spacecraft responsible for the astronauts’ round-trip transportation between Earth and the International Space Station. NASA hopes to find a certified commercial spacecraft fleet in the final stages of the race, known as the Commercial Manned Transport Program (CCtCAP), and begin shipping operations by 2017. NASA prefers to work with a number of providers that provide manned spacecraft, but it depends on how much of it is available. In the issuance of the request for proposals, commercial spacecraft
