姓名是一种符号,它是人们互相区别的重要标志。可是你知道吗?英语国家的人的姓名和我们中国人的姓名是不同的。虽然它们主要都是由两部分组成,但英语姓名的排列顺序刚好与中文姓名的排列顺序相反。中文姓名的顺序是:姓+名,而英语姓名的顺序却是:名+(中间名) +姓。比如说Jim Green和Kate White,其中Jim和Kate是名,Green和Read才是姓。大家可别误以为Jim和Kate是姓,Green和Read是名啊!那可就闹笑话啦!

The order of Chinese names is: surname + name, and the order of English names is: name + (middle name) + surname.
