本文介绍了可重复生产高双折射光纤技术,这种光纤的包层为应力感生的椭圆形,纤芯为圆形。我们已获得的光纤,其双折射B大约为(1~3)×3.0~(-4),模耦合参数大约为(2~7)×10~(-5)m~(-1),在1.6μm时损耗小于9.5dB/km。我们还发现了限制试验光纤保持线偏振态能力的一些因素。
This article describes a repeatable production of high birefringence fiber technology. The cladding of this fiber is stress induced oval with a round core. The optical fiber we obtained has a birefringence B of about 1 ~ 3 × 3.0 ~ 4 and a mode coupling parameter of about 2 ~ 7 × 10 ~ (-5) m ~ 1.6μm loss less than 9.5dB / km. We also found some of the factors that limit the ability of a test fiber to maintain its polarization state.
