Objective To study the impact of domestic occupational noise exposure on workers’ heart rate. Methods The databases of CNKI, VIP and Wanfang were searched by computer to collect the domestic public published articles about occupational noise exposure and worker heart rate from 1990 to 2012. The data were collected strictly according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, and the data were collected using STATA 10.0 software Meta analysis, and for sensitivity analysis. Results The 13 retrieved articles were included in the meta-analysis. There were 2 930 cumulative controls and 3 715 cumulative exposure groups. The risk of heart rate anomalies was 3.43 times higher in the exposed group (95% CI: 2.90-3.96) than in the control group, and there was no heterogeneity between the studies Q = 8.71, P = 0.43, I2 = 1.80%). Begg test showed Z = 1.32, P = 0.19; Egger test showed t = 0.56, P = 0.59 (95% CI: -1.04-1.72), indicating no obvious bias in the analysis. Conclusion The impact of occupational noise exposure on workers’ heart rate is significant.
