The impact compactor is a new type of compaction device. The surface of the compaction wheel is a non-cylindrical surface composed of three cam curves. When the compaction operation is performed, the center of mass of the compaction wheel alternates up and down, and its potential energy and kinetic energy combine to produce a powerful impact on the ground. Practice shows that its operating speed can reach 8～12 km/h, which is 3 times that of the conventional roller; each filling thickness is 2 of the conventional roller.
