E.M. Forster (1879-1970) is a famous 20th-century British novelist and literary critic. Everywhere in his novels, his profound understanding and attention to human nature infiltrate. In Foster’s opinion, human nature is not a mixture of good and evil, but a mixture of good and evil. His basic aspiration is to promote the free and pure love of humanity and constantly improve the imperfect parts of human nature through the ways of love and beloved. Only in this way can there be a glimmer of hope for the changes of human destiny and the continuous improvement of human nature. There is no doubt that Forster’s view of human nature has an important reference for the development of our contemporary society.
