张培基先生的《英译中国现代散文选》系列书籍,一直以来都是英语学习者所喜爱和推崇的“不是教材的好教材”。本文通过选取其中一篇由著名作家郁达夫所写的《故都的秋》为例,评析张先生的译本如何再现原文的风格和神韵,做到“神形兼备”的。
Mr. Zhang Peiji’s series of books “English Translation of Modern Chinese Essays” has always been a favorite and respected by English learners. “It is not a good teaching material”. This article selects one of the famous “Autumn of Old Capital” written by the famous writer Yu Dafu as an example to analyze how Mr. Zhang’s translation reproduces the style and charm of the original text and achieves “the combination of divine form and godliness.”
