在高等学校中开展双语教学或全英语教学,实现高等教育与国际接轨,是加速我国创新人才与国际化人才培养的重要途径,这是当今社会信息化和经济全球化的要求,也是我国高校教育改革与发展的一种趋势。结合国家地质学理科基地建设,我校地质学专业主干课程先后开展了双语或全英语教学。经过近八年的教学实践,取得了一些成绩,同时也暴露出一些问题。由于双语教学仍处在初级与探索阶段,在具体实施过程中,还有许多问题需要研究和探讨。实践表明,担任课程的主讲教师必须具有较高的外语水平与专业水平,学生具备相当的外语水平,同时配备合适的教材或教学参考资料,同时不断进行教学方法的改进,才能得到预期的教学效果。
Carrying out bilingual teaching or English teaching in higher education institutions and achieving higher education with international standards is an important way to speed up the cultivation of innovative talents and internationalized talents in our country. This is the requirement of today’s society for informationization and economic globalization, as well as for higher education in our country A trend of reform and development. Combined with the construction of National Geological Science Base, the major course of Geology in our school has carried out bilingual or full English teaching successively. After nearly eight years of teaching practice, some achievements have been made and some problems have also been revealed. Because bilingual education is still in its infancy and exploration stage, many problems need to be studied and discussed during the implementation. Practice has shown that the teacher who serves as a lecturer must have a high level of foreign language proficiency and professionalism. Students should have a good command of foreign language proficiency. At the same time, they should be equipped with appropriate teaching materials or teaching reference materials, while continuing to improve their teaching methods to achieve the desired teaching effect .
