The School of Chinese Materia Medica is an institution of higher learning that specializes in the cultivation of traditional Chinese medicine in the newly established China Pharmaceutical University. The base is located in Lujiawa, Jixiang Village, Qixia District, outside the Central Gate of Nanjing City, and was formerly the Medical Botanical Garden of Nanjing Pharmaceutical University. The base is 7 kilometers away from the urban area and covers an area of 337.07 mu. It is adjacent to the chemical and pharmaceutical factory in the east, Xiaozhuang Normal in the west, the ferroalloy factory in the south and the Zhongshan Chemical Plant in the north.
