Every morning at 8 am, in a quiet lane in Beijing’s Zhongguancun, people can always see a well-meaning old man slowly walking. Many people may find it hard to believe that he is a famous biologist and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He has 92-year-old professor Bei Shizhang this year. He is going to the lab for work. Pui every morning 5:00 wake up, wash their own, and then breakfast, leave home at 8 o’clock to the laboratory. In the lab, Bailu instruct doctoral students to experiment and continue to engage in his dedicated life-long cell reconstruction research. In the spring of 1932, Bei Shizhang, then director of the Department of Biology of Zhejiang University, led his assistants and students to collect experimental animals at pinewood near Huanglong Cave in Hangzhou,
