武陵原位于湖南省西北隅,其中重点地区有慈利县索溪峪、桑植县天子山和大庸市张家界国家森林公园。这三者同属于一个完整的环境地质单元,它的世界罕见的石英砂岩峰林地貌景观与各种地质历史遗迹的微妙组合,构成了武陵原的神奇而又秀丽的风光。不久,武陵原将建成我国第一个国家地质公园,供国内外学者、艺术家和旅游者欣赏。作者于去年11月中旬参加在长沙召开的我国首次地质自然保护区区划和科学考察工作会议,并有幸随同会议代表团到武陵原进行科学考察。11月19日从长沙乘车出发,向西北方向驶去,跨越湘、资、沅、澧四水,将近下午二时左右到达慈利县城,在此小憩,
Wuling was originally located in the northwestern corner of Hunan Province, with key areas including Suoxiyu of Cili County, Tianzishan of Sangzhi County and Zhangjiajie National Forest Park of Dayong City. These three belong to a complete environmental geology unit, its world rare quartz sandstone landscape and various geological heritage of the delicate combination of the composition of the Wulingyuan magical and beautiful scenery. Soon, Wulingyuan will be built into China’s first national geopark for domestic and foreign scholars, artists and tourists to enjoy. In mid November last year, the author participated in the first conference of China’s geological reserve reservation and scientific expedition held in Changsha, and was fortunate to accompany the delegation to Wulingyuan for scientific investigation.
