《人民子弟兵》是中央电视台军事部主办的一个大型军事栏目。自1980年创办以来，至今已走过了16年不平凡的历程。16年来，《人民子弟兵》遵循我军宗旨，把握时代脉搏，弘扬民族精神，在介绍全军革命化、现代化建设，树立官兵光辉形象和丰富电视内容等方面做了卓有成效的工作。1
“People’s Army Soldier” is a large military section sponsored by the military department of CCTV. Since its inception in 1980, it has gone 16 years extraordinary. Over the past 16 years, “people’s army soldiers” have followed the purposes of our army and have grasped the pulse of the times and carried forward the national spirit. They have done fruitful work in introducing the revolution and modernization of the entire army, setting the glorious image of officers and soldiers and enriching the contents of television. 1
