生活在南太平洋所罗门群岛上的一些居民有种独一无二的伐树方法。如果一棵树太大无法用斧头砍倒,当地人就会对着它吼叫直到其倒下。身怀异能的伐木人会在黎明时分爬到树上,突然间对着它放声大叫。他们会这样喊上30天,然后那棵树就会死掉并且倒下。据说是因为吼叫能够杀死树的精魂。当地人称这种方法总能奏效。
Some inhabitants living in the South Pacific Solomon Islands have a unique method of cutting trees. If a tree is too big to cut with an ax, the locals roar at it until it falls. An avid logger climbs to the tree at dawn and suddenly shouts at it. They will shout for 30 days so that the tree will die and fall. It is said that because roaring can kill the soul of the tree. Locals call this approach always effective.
