1944年初冬,19岁的我,离开了日寇占领的扬州城,奔向那最羡慕、最神往的苏北抗日根据地,进入抗大九分校(后改名为苏中公学)学习。校长是新四军一师师长、苏中军区司令员粟裕将军。在校部军需仓库,我换上了崭新的棉军装,腰扎皮带,显得英姿飒爽、青春焕发,心里乐开了花。从此,我就是一个革命军人,就是新四军战士了!
In the early winter of 1944, 19-year-old I left Yangzhou City occupied by Japanese invaders and headed for the most envied and most beloved anti-Japanese base in Northern Jiangsu to enter Anti-Jiuhua Campus (later renamed as Su Zhonggong). The headmaster is a division commander of the New Fourth Army, Su Yujun commander General Su Yu.
