It has been demonstrated that the inclusion of stimuli targeted to innate immune receptors in liposomal vaccine formulations can significantly increase the vaccine’s immunity. After vaccination, the natural cell population reacts with immune stimuli, engulfs and processes antigens, and enters the local lymph nodes from the site of injection via the lymphatic input tubing.
