书之对读书人,犹酒之于饮者,不可一日或缺。古人云:“饥读之以当肉,寒读之以当裘,孤寂而读之以当友朋,幽忧而读之以当金石琴瑟也。”但今人之读书,已远非古人之“附庸风雅”。正如毛泽东同志所言:“情况是在不断地变化,要使自己的思想适应新的情况,就得学习。”无疑,读书是科研与治学的基础,而图书馆则是基础的基础。因此,即使是在战争年代那样艰苦的环境下,中国共产党领导下的图书馆事业都在发展,在壮大。
