评价理论是对系统功能语言学的进一步发展,是在对人际意义的研究中发展起来的新词汇语法框架,其评价意义存在于语篇之中,体现语篇的人际功能。本文运用评价理论作为研究手段,对宋词《钗头凤》及其三个英译文进行对比分析,目的是将评价理论作为衡量翻译质量的一个重要标准,检验在翻译研究中的可应用性,从而为翻译作品的质量评价提供更为客观的理论框架。
The evaluation theory is a further development of systematic functional linguistics and a new vocabulary grammar framework developed in the study of interpersonal meaning. Its evaluation significance exists in discourse and reflects the interpersonal function of discourse. This dissertation uses the evaluation theory as a research method to compare and analyze the Song Chai Tou Feng and its three English translations. The purpose is to use the evaluation theory as an important criterion to measure the translation quality and to test its applicability in translation studies. It provides a more objective theoretical framework for the quality evaluation of translation works.
