大多数非金属矿产(除化工矿物原料外,还包括建筑、陶器原料、石料和一系列其他的重要类型原料)与金属矿石原料相比,其首要特征是有用矿物含量高。以前,许多种类型的非金属矿产采掘后,不经过选矿或仅采用简单的预处理方法后就送给用户。但是,由于非金属矿产的质量日趋下降,加之用户对产品质量的要求不断提高,因而要求对这类矿产应进行机械选矿。众所周知,许多非金属矿产的物理化学性质与围岩相近,系属于难选矿物,因此要求改善非金属矿产选矿工艺,同时,还要降低加工费用。目前,辐射选矿乃是处理非金属矿产的一种新方向。
Most non-metallic minerals (in addition to chemical mineral raw materials, including construction, pottery raw materials, stone materials and a series of other important types of raw materials), the first feature is the high content of useful minerals compared with metal ore raw materials. In the past, many types of non-metallic minerals have been mined and sent to users without dressing or with simple pretreatment methods. However, due to the declining quality of non-metallic minerals and the increasing demand of users for product quality, it is required that such minerals should be mechanically beneficiated. It is well known that many non-metallic minerals have similar physical and chemical properties to the surrounding rock and belong to refractory minerals. Therefore, it is required to improve the beneficiation process for non-metallic minerals while reducing the processing cost. At present, radiation beneficiation is a new direction for dealing with non-metallic minerals.
