The prelude of the Chinese people’s national salvation movement in the 20th century was opened on the northwest edge of Yunnan far away from the political and cultural center of China. In 1900, imperialist armed forces infiltrated the villages of Czhu and Pairi near Phangma, in the upper reaches of the Nu River, and stirred the anger of the people of various ethnic groups in Jingpo, Qionglai, Han and Bai in the area. The villagers got up to pick up their arms and attack aggression To defend the homeland. The invaders did not expect such a huge force to emerge from the national community in this lonely hinterland.
