学习型组织被称为“21世纪和管理方式的新趋势”,学习型组织理论要求组织中的每一个成员不仅要终生学习,不断补充新知,而且要开放自我,与人沟通,最终达到从个体学习、组织学习到学习型组织的目标。1994年,随着美国麻省理工学院彼德·圣吉《第五项修炼》的出版,学习型组织理论发展到了一个新的高度。进入21世纪以后,学习型组织理论在全世界掀起了实践的高潮。知识经济时代要求部队管理工作也要适应新军事变革的需要,因此将学习型组织理论导入部队管理工作具有十分重要的战略意义。
