自学,有多种含义,可以指人吸收接纳事物的能力。也指一种状态,即在没有接受指导和教育的情况下掌握某种技能。教学,顾名思义就是教与学,分为两部分,指教师传授给学生知识、技能,学生如何学习,教学相长缺一不可。也就是说教师除了要教给学生知识、技能,还应教给学生独立获取知识的方法和能力。自学教学可以理解为教会学生学习,使他们能够不断地获取新知识,使他们离开了老师,离开了课堂还能自己自主地学习成长,满足社会和自身的发展需要。
