志愿精神是指一种自愿地、不计报酬地参与推动社会进步、促进人类自身全面发展的社会公益事业的精神。我们应结合中国实际,积极学习、借鉴国外志愿服务的优点或长处,从和谐社会的视野深入研究志愿精神,发展我国的志愿服务,创新志愿服务的工作思路和工作手段,逐步完善志愿服务的制度构建和政策保障,使其在构建社会主义和谐社会的过程中发挥更大的作用。
