水电工程所需建筑材料的数量是很大的,且使用的范围广,如修建一个灌溉水库和相应的配套工程,从水库到渠道沿程几十公里,甚至更远.一般来说,建筑材料(如水泥)都来自若干个厂家,这就给设计工作者提出了一个问题:如何合理调配建筑材料,使得运输费用最小.通常的作法是,假设几种调配方案,逐个计算运输费用,选运输费用相对较小者的方案作为设计调配方案,这种方法存在着如下不足:
