毛泽东在新中国成立前后,多次表述自己的思想是从大杂烩到坚信马克思列宁主义还需要有一个成熟的过程;多次删去中央文件中使用的“毛泽东思想”概念;多次公开向党内同志表示不要将自己的名字与马恩列斯并列使用;多次修改编辑出版的《毛泽东选集》中的文章,并多次叫停出版《毛泽东选集》第五卷;毛泽东对待使用“毛泽东思想”概念的慎重态度和实事求是的科学精神是值得研究与学习的。
