Liaoning has made great achievements during the Tenth Five-Year-Plan period, and the province, through hard struggle, finally goes along the road of rejuvenating the old industrial base. What the province has mainly achieved is as follows. The production total value in 2005 may get to 792 billion Yuan, about 12% increased. The community investment to capital asserts has gotten to 420 billion Yuan, increasing 40%, the actually used foreign investment to 2850 million dollars, going up 115%. The income to be controlled for each town denizen has got to 9000 Yuan, actually increasing 11.5%, and the net income per farmer to 3600 Yuan, actually going up 6.5%. To the end of 2005, there were more than 60 per cent of the large-sized and State-ownership industrial enterprises finished the reform of stock system, and more than 80 per cent of M&S enterprises finished the reform. As to the economic layout, the Central Cities Economic Area headed by Shenyang City has been formed, and the Liaodong Peninsular Coastal Economic Area and Liaoxi Coastal Economic Area headed by Dalian City have also been formed.
