Professionals at the Kyrgyz Power Engineering Research Office of the Soviet Ministry of Power and Electricity have experimented with a promising method of predicting earthquakes based on electromagnetic measurements of the Earth’s surface in the Kyrgyz earthquake zone. Deputy director of the research office, Bobtbaev, said that as we all know, changes in the earthquakes cause deep underground conductive vibrations. Studying this change can accurately depict images of tectonic processes occurring in the rock formation. Research to date in this area has been carried out using complex and expensive equipment.
