我国社会主义经济发展速度,既是一个经济问题,又是一个政治问题。从经济上说,它是迅速发展社会生产力,提高人民生活水平,增强国家经济实力的需要,也是实现我国经济发展战略目标,实现社会主义现代化的需要。从政治上说,它是关系到社会主义制度的优越性能否充分发挥和能否实现国家长治久安的重大问题。党的十四大报告指出:“我国近代的历史和当前世界的现实都清楚表明,经济落后,就会非常被动,就会受制于人。”
The speed of socialist economic development in our country is not only an economic issue but also a political issue. Economically speaking, it is a need to rapidly develop social productive forces, improve people’s living standards and enhance the country’s economic strength. It is also a need to realize the strategic goal of our country’s economic development and realize the socialist modernization. Politically speaking, it is a major issue that concerns whether the superiority of the socialist system can be fully utilized and whether the long-term peace and stability of the country can be achieved. The report of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party pointed out: “The modern history of our country and the reality of the current world clearly state that if the economy is backward, it will be very passive and will be controlled by others.”
