From 1991-06 to 1998-06, 33 cases of pediatric severe thoracic injury and respiratory failure (RespiratoryFailure, RF) were treated by endotracheal intubation, in which tracheotomy was done in 12 cases (36-36%). The indications and management of tracheotomy in pediatric chest injury combined with RF were discussed. 1 clinical data 12 cases of tracheostomy, 9 males,
