Objective To study the clinical effect of ketamine combined with propofol in the implementation of anesthesia in children undergoing short-term surgery. Methods Totally 84 children undergoing short operation were randomly divided into control group and observation group, with an average of 42 in each group. Preoperative anesthesia was performed on children in the control group with ketamine. Preoperative anesthesia was performed in children in the observation group by combination of ketamine and propofol. Results The observation group anesthesia effect was significantly better than the control group; postoperative recovery time and consciousness awake time was significantly shorter than the control group; during surgery there was significantly less breathing and restless than the control group. Conclusion The combination of ketamine and propofol has a significant clinical effect on preoperative anesthesia in children undergoing short-term surgery.
