渡江战役前夕,华野前委,为使部队以饱满的政治热情和高昂的战斗情绪,迎接即将到来的渡江作战和进军江南,于1947年1、2月间在徐州东北贾汪召开了两次扩大会议,专门研究渡江作战和进军江南的问题。贾汪会议的意义重大,正如粟裕同志所说:“曲阜会议是为了加强纪律性,是为了改变江北战局,求得在江北歼灭大量敌人。而贾江会议的唯一目的,则是为了打过长江去解放全中国。……贾汪会议及以后两个月的休整,对于渡江作战有重大的决定作用。”(在第一次贾汪会议上的讲话)
On the eve of the cross-river campaign, the former Central Committee of the Chinese Army held a meeting in Jiawang, northeast of Xuzhou in January and February 1947 in order to make the troops full of political enthusiasm and high fighting sentiment to welcome the upcoming cross-river operation and march to the south. Expand the meeting twice to study the issue of crossing the river and entering the south. The meeting of Jia-Wang is of great significance. As Comrade Su Yu said, “The Qufu Meeting is to strengthen discipline and to change the war situation in Jiangbei so as to annihilate large numbers of enemies in Jiangbei. The sole purpose of Jiajiang’s meeting is to fight the Yangtze To liberate all of China .... The Jia-Wang meeting and the subsequent two-month rest have a major decisive effect on the cross-river operation. ”(Address at the First JW Conference)
