The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) is seeking advice on the classification and labeling of bactericides tebuconazole and imazalil within the EU. The recommendations are divided into the acute toxicity of tebuconazole and its hazards to the aquatic environment, the acute toxicity of imazalil, its carcinogenicity and its impact on the aquatic environment. The public consultation period will end on October 5. Tebuconazole was approved by the European Union Pesticide in 2009 and approved as a biocide for wood preservatives in 2008.
