表是志书中配合文字记述,形象而综合地表达内容的一种形式,是志书体例有机组成部分.其具有现实、具体、准确、简明的优点.合理运用表是使志书“文约事丰”、“文省事明”的有效方法之一,将有助于志书的详略安排.但是,如果在志书中不能科学地使用表,不但不能收到好的效果,而且会降低志书的质量.因此,我们在续志工作中要注意对表的科学使用,必须统筹安排,妥善设置.
