在距丽江古城西北面,有一片古老的村落。静悄悄地恪守着那从古时候就沿袭下来的一片古老和沉静。它是丽江古城明清建筑群的一个外延村落群,在1997年12月与丽江古城一起列入《世界文化遗产名录》。 束河曾经是茶马古道上的重要驿站,明代纳西族木氏统治时期称为十合院。明崇祯十二年(1639年)正月二十九日,徐霞客在其滇游日记中记载道:“西瞻中海,枊岸波萦,有大聚落临其上,是为十和院。”后改名束河,据说是因为发源于该地的青龙河蜿蜒如带地流过该地各个村子,因此名束河。束河包括田地山川相连的7个自然村落,中心束河街海拔2,460米,离丽红县城6公里。
