运用Viands(1988)的方法评价了我国10 个苜蓿地方品种根系发育能力的强弱。结果表明:无棣和准噶尔苜蓿侧根发育能力较强,淮阴苜蓿主根直径增粗能力较高,关中、肇东、陇东和新疆大叶苜蓿的根系发育能力处于中等水平,天水、敖汉和北疆苜蓿对伤害主根的抗性相对较弱;主根被切断后,侧根大多发生于主根以下0~1 cm 区域内,主根被切断处会产生1~2 条侧根以代替主根的部分功能,但这些侧根不具有原有主根的生长优势
The method of Viands (1988) was used to evaluate the ability of root development of 10 alfalfa cultivars in China. The results showed that the ability of lateral development of Medicago sativa was the highest in Wudi and Junggar and the diameter of main root of Huaiyin alfalfa was higher. The root development ability of the clover and alfalfa in Zhaodong, Longdong and Xinjiang were at medium level. The resistance of Xinjiang alfalfa to the main root injury was relatively weak. After the main root was cut off, the lateral root mostly occurred in the 0-1 cm area below the main root. The main root was cut off to produce 1-2 lateral roots to replace some functions of the main root. However, The lateral root does not have the growth advantage of the original main root
